- Click Customize next to Site Address.
- Select the Connect a domain you already own option.
- Click Continue.
Setting up Weebly ‘A Records’ in cPanel
If you’re managing your domain name’s DNS records in cPanel, here are the steps you need to take in order to add the Weebly records:- Log in to cPanel.
- Click on Zone Editor under Domains.
- Click Manage next to the domain name you want to edit.
- Click Edit next to the primary A record for your domain.
- Input the IP Address (address in Points to field) provided by Weebly into the Record field in cPanel.
- Click Save Record.
- For the www. record, there are two possibilities:
Setting up Weebly DNS Records in VIPcontrol
If you’re managing your domain name’s DNS records in VIPcontrol, here are the steps you need to take in order to add the Weebly records:- Log in to VIPcontrol.
- Click on My Services at the top of the page.
- Click Domain Management.
- Click on Manage next to your domain name.
- Click Manage DNS under DNS.
- If DNS Hosting is not set as the current configuration, click on the DNS Hosting tab and click Enable, then click Set DNS. Warning: If you have an existing DNS configuration that you don’t want to remove, you should not complete Step 6 and do not proceed.
- Click Edit (pencil and paper icon) next to the record.
- Change the IP Address in the Value field to the one provided by Weebly (address in Points to field).
- Click the green tick icon to save the changes.
- Repeat steps 6 through 9 for the www. record.
