If you haven’t already installed or imported an installation into cPanel’s WordPress Toolkit, you will need to do that first. Please note, the cloning feature is only available with the premium version of the WordPress Toolkit. Here are the steps you need to take to clone an existing WordPress installation.
  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Click on WordPress Toolkit under Applications.
  3. Click on the Clone option in your installation’s details. cPanel WordPress Toolkit Clone
  4. Some cloning options will appear, giving you the following options:
    1. Create subdomain: this option will allow you to create a new sub-domain of your primary domain with a copy of your existing website.
    2. Use existing domain or sub-domain: this option will allow you to select an existing domain or sub-domain you have set up, to clone your website to.
    3. Database: some advanced users might want to change the database name, but it’s not necessary.
  5. Click Start to begin the cloning process.
