DKIM stands for Domain Keys Identified Mail. Put simply, DKIM is a system that allows an email provider to “sign” an email before it’s sent, so that a recipient email server/service can verify that the email was actually sent from a legitimate source. More and more email providers/services are using DKIM to verify that an email is legitimate, so it can be a good idea to enable this feature.
If your domain name’s DNS settings are managed with a third party, you will need to contact them about setting up your new DKIM record. A DKIM record is added as a TXT record in your domain name’s DNS settings. If your domain name is using our Free DNS Hosting platform, you can follow these steps to add a TXT record. And if you’re using cPanel to manage your domain name’s DNS records, follow these steps.
